Through parent-to-parent sharing of experiences and knowledge, G.E.A.R. Parent Network empowers parents of children with behavioral health needs to build on their family’s strengths and to advocate for their family’s needs.

FREE support available to parents & families include:

  • Support by phone at 1-800-264-9224 or 1-207-696-8375 if you're out of state
  • Monthly Support Groups
  • Workshops on topics related to emotional and behavioral health
  • Opportunities to network with other families
  • Information on resources and public services available to you and your family
  • Programs for passing on your knowledge and assisting other families
  • Leadership skills and quality assurance advocacy through the F.A.C.E.S. Council

G.E.A.R. Parent Network invites you to promote positive mental health, wellbeing and social development during Children's Mental Health Awareness Week, from May 5-11, 2013. Mental health is essential to overall health and wellbeing and serious behavioral health disorders in children are real and treatable.

Children and youth with mental health challenges and their families deserve access to services and supports that are family driven, youth guided and culturally appropriate.
