Regional Parent Support Coord-Hancock/Waldo
Do you have experience parenting a child with behavioral health needs? G.E.A.R. Parent Network is currently looking for an organized and optimistic individual to fill the role of Regional Parent Support Coordinator in Hancock and Waldo Counties. This individual will draw both on training received from G.E.A.R. and on his or her own personal experience of parenting a child with behavioral health needs, to support families. The Coordinator will help identify the unique strengths and needs of individual families; will establish and facilitate support groups and workshops; participate on committees and build positive collaborative relationships with community behavioral health providers. Through telephone contact, one on one contact, and support groups the Coordinator will provide emotional support, problem solving, and information related to community resources and children's issues to families.
