The following Awards were presented on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Crisis & Counseling Centers Annual Meeting and Dinner, Senator Inn, Augusta, Maine

Appropriately, this new award was presented to Charlene Milliken, the founding director of the G.E.A.R. Parent Network. This year and in years to come, the award will honor one individual who has demonstrated resiliency and outstanding committment to the emotional and mental well-being of children. The 2007 award was presented to parent, Lisa Bishop! Congratulations Lisa!

The Agency of the Year Award was presented to Learning Disabilities Association of Maine, Brenda Bennett, Executive Director! Congratulations Brenda and thank you to the LDA staff!

This award recognizes an agency whose strong collaboration and communication with Crisis & Counseling staff helps to ensure the best care to consumers and families served by both agencies.

	G.E.A.R. Parent Network is a Parent-to-Parent Network of Information & Support of Children with Behavioral Health Concerns and is a program of Crisis & Counseling Centers funded by DHHS, Children’s Behavioral Health Services, United Way and Private Donations.
