Southern Maine Parent Awareness Recipient of the 2008 Community Advocate Award October 6, 2008

On October 6, 2008 at SMPA’s Libby Wakefield Gallery in Sanford Southern Maine Parent Awareness held their 28th Annual Meeting. Each year nominations and recommendations are received for potential award recipients. This year they had a wide variety of individuals from near and far who were recognized for their contributions. Laurie Cavanaugh from Gaining Empowerment Allows Results (G.E.A.R) was awarded the Southern Maine Community Advocate Award for her time, energy and commitment to supporting families.
